How to Use Fiberglass Plant Stakes?


The fiberglass rod is a glass fiber reinforced profile that is formed by pultrusion with fiberglass roving as the reinforcing material and unsaturated polyester resin as the matrix. The solid rod has the characteristics of light weight, good elasticity, strong corrosion resistance and bright colors.
Fiberglass rods have been widely used in agriculture as plant support stakes and pole, as well as arch poles for low tunnel and grow house. Fiberglass rods are easy to understand and very common as support stakes. But how to connect and fix it has troubled many users. At present, there are a lot of accessories such as clips that match the fiberglass solid rods.
As a plant stake, FRP rods with smaller diameters are generally used, such as 5 mm, 6.35 mm, 7.9 mm, 9.7 mm, 12.8 mm, etc. Plant can be fixed on the stakes with plant ties.
When used as arch poles for green house, the diameters of 4 mm, 5 mm, 6.35 mm, and 7.9 mm are the most used because fiberglass rods with small diameters are easier to bend. People can use spring clips to connect the poles together, and use plastic clips to press the ground film on the poles to fix it.
